Katelyn Babson Plans AWWC Event
Katelyn Babson, an attorney based in the Raleigh office of Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP, recently planned and implemented the inaugural event for the Triangle Chapter of the Alliance of Women in Workers’ Compensation(AWWC).
The May 2, 2018 event—“Charting Your Course”—consisted of a networking social and panel discussion focused on women in the industry sharing experiences and lessons learned throughout their careers. At the event, Katelyn also served as the moderator for the panel, which was comprised of Commissioner Myra Griffin (NC Industrial Commission), Stephanie Gay (VP – Aegis Administrative Services), and Michelle Morgan (WC Consultant – NC Office of State Human Resources).
The meeting was the “kick off” event for the Triangle Chapter of the AWWC and attracted more than 65 professionals from the workers’ compensation industry. Katelyn was recently appointed as Ambassador for the regional chapter of the AWWC, a national organization dedicated to serving the workers’ compensation industry through networking, support, mentoring and collaboration.
