The 2nd Annual Kids’ Chance Charity Inshore Fishing Tournament was held Nov. 2 in Wrightsville Beach. Despite poor weather and difficult fishing conditions, the tournament raised $2,600 to benefit Kids’ Chance of North Carolina.
All tournament proceeds were donated to Kids’ Chance of North Carolina, which provides educational scholarships to the children of North Carolina workers who have been catastrophically or fatally injured in work-related accidents. The CSH Law Workers’ Compensation Practice Group sponsored the event.
Awards were presented in the following categories:
- Trout Division: Team Compensation Claims Solutions; Jason Toups, captain
- Flounder Division: Team Hedrick Gardner; Tim Townsend, captain
- Red Drum Division: Team ADR of NC; Frank Prior, captain
Brian Kromke, a Cranfill Sumner & Hartzog LLP (CSH Law) Workers’ Compensation attorney, based in Wilmington and a member of the Kids’ Chance of North Carolina Board of Directors founded the tournament in 2013 and serves as chair.
